Peacock Promenade
A brand-new installation of oversized illuminated feathers standing up to four metres tall.
The radiant feathers have been individually handcrafted using steel and light, with bold, sculptural forms inspired by the bird’s natural iridescence.
“The peacock feather is a universal symbol of beauty and pride,” said Jamie Sanders of Pyrite Collective.
“We wanted to take that elegance and expand it into something visitors could walk through a promenade of light where every feather reflects and refracts in its own way. It’s immersive, theatrical, and a little bit dreamlike,” he added.
Each feather begins life as a single hand-drawn sketch, traced and scaled before being sculpted in metal. Layers of paint are then added to mimic the natural shimmer of real plumage. The result is both organic and stylised — part sculpture, part spectacle.
