Project Management

Making the extraordinary happen’

First and foremost we are project managers specialising in:

Events | Productions | Exhibitions | Community Engagement | Logistics | Cultural Regeneration Projects

Since 2004 Culture Creative has worked with many organisations to realise their projects and ambitions.

At Belsay Hall we project managed and produced major contemporary art exhibitions: Picture House and Extraordinary Measures. Alongside curator Judith King our role was to turn complex artistic proposals into reality, working with established and emerging artists and installing significant works by Ron Mueck, Matt Collishaw, Mariele Neudecker and new commissions from Stella McCartney, Alexander McQueen, Julian Opie and others in the house and grounds.

Culture Creative also produce and manage My Christmas Trails in partnership with Sony Music and some of the UK’s most famous properties and gardens including Kew Gardens, Blenheim Palace, Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh and Bedgebury Pinetum.

Production Management

Hiding the magic…’

At the forefront of what we do is client care and being mindful of the day-to-day operational needs of the venues we are in when producing events. We have very high production values and have many ways to ‘hide the magic’ and ensure that our event infrastructure is sympathetic to its daytime surroundings.

For many years Culture Creative worked with the November Club which specialises in site-specific promenade theatre in historic locations. As there are never any backstage areas or wings in the venues they use, everything is visible and done in full view of the audience. Therefore being flexible and able to find solutions to ‘hide the magic’ was key to making these productions work.

Event Management

Creating unique experiences…’

We are specialists in devising and delivering large-scale outdoor events across the cultural and recreation sectors. From lighting, dance, visual arts, sports and more…

Examples include Brinkburn Music Festival which brought world class music to Northumberland; Electric Glen which was developed by Culture Creative for East Renfrewshire Council, and included production, box office and front of house; the inaugural Kielder Marathon in 2010; and Christmas at Kew which was created by Culture Creative in 2012 and has been managed and produced by the team ever since. In 2018 audiences for this 32 day Christmas event reached almost 200,000.
