The team behind the Contemporary Tree is Julian Luna, Matt Fries, and Boston Kassidy with help from their friends: Will Hill and Shaun Lide, engineers/advisors; Mark Flores, Eric DePan, Ruthie Ocean, and Chris Brodeur, fabrication and installation; and Justin Hughes, jack-of-all-trades.

Moon Papas Art creates electronics-based sculpture focused on the integration of technology and material fabrication utilizing light, sound, interactive sensors, and a wide array of physical materials all in the pursuit of stretching the bounds of what is possible and creating playful and inspiring experiences and objects.
Their work is able to be experienced at local bars in Houston such as Sixes and Sevens, Red Dwarf, and The Flat; the interactive art museum, Seismique; and events hosted by the Orange Show Center for Visionary Art.
