In 2015, 2017, 2019 and 2021 Culture Creative took on the logistical planning and delivery of the Tour of Britain in Northumberland – the UK’s biggest and most prestigious cycle race.
This involved managing all elements of delivery, including traffic management of the race, community events, sporting participation and schools coordination.
In 2019 we also coordinated stage 3 of the race from Berwick-upon-Tweed to Newcastle-upon-Tyne covering 182.2km and concluding with a uphill finish in the city centre. The race was last held in Newcastle in 2009. 2019 was the first time that all areas of the North of Tyne Combined Authority worked together on the Tour of Britain race.
