LONDON 2012 FESTIVAL

In 2012, Culture Creative worked on various Cultural Olympiad events programmed as part of the London 2012 Festival.
These included:

Olympic Torch Relay
Logistics planning and delivery of three days in Northumberland including management of 85 miles of relay, over 350 traffic management interventions, community events, sporting participation and schools coordination.
The event included an evening celebration for 7,500 in the grounds of Alnwick Castle with live music from the Little Comets and local indie bands, dance act Twist and Pulse and guest appearances.

Forest Pitch
Two amateur football matches created by artist Craig Coulthard to celebrate art and sport and revive the original spirt of the modern Olympics. Culture Creative worked with the production company on this project which involved felling spruce trees to make space for the pitch, creating goalposts, benches and a changing room deep within a forest in the Scottish Borders.
We also managed the event on the day which included car parking, catering, signage and crowd health and safety.
After the match the crowd disbanded and Forest Pitch near Selkirk was left to grow back.
