Chicago
Laser Lake
Laser Lake is created using coloured laser beams and fog to produce a canopy of light over water.
Neon Flowers
Inspired by a world of natural light these glowing flowers sparkle against the darkness of the garden in winter.
Lee Fiskness and Travis Shupe
Lee and Travis are the Lighting Designers working on this year's Lightscape Trail at Chicago Botanic Garden.
Lilies
Bursting with light, colour, energy and imagination these giant illuminated lilies floating elegantly on water, captivate and engage, evoking feelings of awe and wonder, and igniting a sense of warmth and excitement in any environment.
Laser Garden
Using up to one hundred custom made laser effects, the laser garden immerses crowds in thousands of slowly rotating coloured laser beams that pierce through added theatrical fog effects. The result is a truly immersive light artwork that captures the imaginations of children and adults alike.
Welcome Wreath
The Welcome Wreath at the entrance to the garden is a spectacular, larger than life installation that sparks joy and spreads a shared love for the festive season.
Windseeds
These three large-scale stainless steel sculpture are 8, 10, and 12 feet in diameter; evoking the fluffy white seeds of a dandelion floating free yet captured in time.
Winter Cathedral
This immersive, welcoming tunnel of warm light is equally spectacular when viewed from the inside or out. Inspired by arched church windows and appearing from a distance to be a single solid shape, the Winter Cathedral is illuminated by tens of thousands of LED light globes.
Sea of Light
Sea of Light is a large-scale installation that covers the ground with thousands of individually controlled balls of LED light animated to a bespoke soundtrack.
Fire Gardens
Our fire gardens are accompanied by contemplative music and created using bespoke structures that fill the garden with real fire (from hand-poured candles).
